Café William

Description.

The Port of Montréal welcomed Café William and the world’s largest cargo sailing ship.

Behind every bag of coffee, there is more than just a bean, an origin, or a roast. There are also choices.

And Café William has chosen to rethink part of its coffee’s journey by embracing a more responsible approach, even if it means taking a more complex and demanding route than conventional shipping methods.

For this fourth crossing — carrying its largest shipment to date — coffee beans from Colombia and Honduras travelled thousands of kilometres by sea before arriving at the Port of Montréal.

From farm to cup, Café William is choosing a different path — powered by the wind.

A choice that reflects a genuine commitment to caring for its coffee throughout its journey while reducing the environmental footprint associated with its transportation.

To celebrate this exceptional arrival, Tandem had the privilege of supporting Café William in the concept development and production of a special welcoming event held at the Grand Quai of the Port of Montréal.

From the visual identity to the guest experience, our teams worked closely with Café William to bring this remarkable voyage, its story, and above all, the vision behind it to life.

This journey also gave rise to ALIZÉ, Café William’s sailboat-transported coffee, now available to consumers.

A project that reminds us that behind major transformations are often entrepreneurs who choose to do things differently — even when the path they take requires greater effort.

We are proud to have supported Café William in celebrating this arrival, which marks an important milestone in its ongoing commitment. Our sincere thanks to the entire team for their trust and this wonderful collaboration.
