History.

Tandem Communication is an independent agency founded by Stéphane Guertin.

 

Stéphane has been working in the world of event communication since 1988 as a promoter and event marketing professional.

He got his start in the production world with his father, Jacques Guertin, promoter and owner of the Sanair race track, where many national events were held. His father's leadership and daring remain a source of professional inspiration, focussed on entrepreneurship.

Then, as promoter of several cycling competitions, including the Quebec track championships and Les héros du Samedi on Radio-Canada TV, he entered event communications.

The City of Montreal called on him to manage the cycling events at MEDIGAMES - World Medical and Health Games. He then joined the Tour de l'île de Montréal as Deputy Director of Operations for the Classique cycliste de Montréal and several other mandates for the organization, such as Canada 125.

A competitive cyclist and marathon runner, he worked on the 1991 revival of the Montreal Marathon, earning him even more recognition in events industry. Stéphane also initiated several productions and, from 1992 to 1995, consulted as a special events coordinator at the head office of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Quebec.

In 2002, Stéphane and Éveline Sartor, whom he had met a few years earlier in an agency, founded Tandem communication événementielle with their sights set on making it the industry benchmark. Together, they were committed to building strong close ties between the agency and their clients. The agency’s roots are in event communication, a vast universe of  possibilities  strategic thinking, creativity, logistics and management. It is this winning combination, backed by transparency and thoroughness, that our clients find at Tandem.

Through his professional connections, Stéphane began to realize the agency's potential outside the event industry. Martin Trudel, former CEO of Tonik Groupimage, encouraged him on this path to broaden the company's services and attract multidisciplinary talent.

In 2020, still driven to make Tandem a benchmark, the agency expanded and diversified to become Tandem Communication. Composed of integrated experts, our team has all the internal resources to meet your needs and bring your projects to life.
